Weligama Kapparathota Beach

Weligama is a town on the south coast of Sri Lanka, located in Matara District, Southern Province, Sri Lanka, governed by an Urban Council. The name Weligama, literally means "sandy village" which refers to the area's sandy sweep bay. It is approximately 144 kilometres (89 mi) south of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 9 metres (30 ft) above the sea level.
beach full of small baby waves. So many travellers and foreigners come here for surfing and because of these baby waves it's perfect for beginner surfers. There is a number of surfing schools in the area for very reasonable rates. So many beachside restaurants and bars are present in this area and the place is very calm and peaceful.This is one of the most common European and western tourist attractions.
