The history of this Biso Valley dates back to the era of the Waragamba King and legends say that the King of Waragamba used to hide in this area. Also, in the past, the local kings of Ruhuna ruled this area and there are legends that the queens of those kings came to bathe in this place. It is possible to think that Bisovarun Diya na Dola became Biso Dola in later times. In the past, the area where this Biso River is 60 located was known as the oath field and the elders of the village say that in the past, there was a stone pillar here that was used to place the hands of those involved in the proceedings to swear. Out of the two tracks, one track has an old form and the other track has recently been created with the intervention of Malimbada local council. An inscription there testifies that the queens who came to worship at Devinuwara Sri Upulvan Temple in the past came to the historical place called Muhandiram Valava located in this area and it is also believed that this place was named Biso Dola because those queens came to bathe in this place. It is felt that there are many secrets of the past hidden in the environment full of beauty and mystery and in the past, the Badi Delgasa tree that was above this place was covering this area as a wild tree, but as a result of many short-sighted human activities, it has collapsed many years ago. • Polhena Beach | Southernsl

Polhena Beach Polhena beach can be pointed out as one more beautiful color that colors the city of Matara. The ocean that exudes exquisite elegance is sometimes stubborn. Sometimes village. Sometimes quiet. Sometimes severe. Sometimes it's mysterious. But the Polhena beach located in a lovely quiet environment is one of the most beautiful resorts that has won local and foreign tourist attraction. The location itself is amazing. And the beach is a great place for swimming, relaxing and entertainment. This is a beach that is located in such a way that you can relax comfortably. It can be called as the most naturally created water hole that can be enjoyed by everyone, big and small. It has been created for the comfort of the man himself. The shallow sea separated from the deep sea was clear for us. The opportunity to engage in water sports is also provided. There are also facilities for bathing in clean water after bathing in sweat. It is a place that not only brings joy to those who feel lonely, but also brings companionship to erase loneliness. Further talking about its beauty, although there are coral reefs in this sea, today such valuable ecosystems have become ruins due to some wrong actions of our own people. It is our responsibility and duty to protect such ecosystems. And the pole fishing industry is also an opportunity to increase the beauty of this area. It is a special and exciting opportunity for the tourists who come here to see it. But due to the harshness of that industry, those industrialists have had to abandon it today. But we can meditate by looking at the man holding a beilipitta on top of a tree planted horizontally. It is very difficult for me to avoid that vision when it looks like a painting. But we can meditate by looking at the man holding a beilipitta on top of a tree planted horizontally. It is very difficult for me to avoid that vision when it looks like a painting. 44 While enjoying all these joys, there are some things that we should keep in mind. That is, it can be pointed out the risk of going to the deep sea at will by being careless and not knowing one's size. Apart from this, it is dangerous to have fun at your own discretion against the instructions given by the coast guard officers. Since those dangerous places are clearly marked, we should make sure to pass those places and avoid going near them. Youth is mischievous. It is a normal situation that this mischievousness leads to various experiments. But the best example that it doesn't always fit can be shown in the dangerous places mentioned in these places. Many people have lost their lives due to not heeding the advice. Among them, without classifying the educated as the uneducated, we can point out the lives that have been sacrificed to the sea in the past, if necessary. The reason I am saying this is because in such cases it is more important to be aware and follow the instructions given. Due to these dangerous conditions, today it has become a tourist attraction but it has also become a place where people are killed. Therefore, it is important for people who go to bathe there to be careful about it. Also, due to the unfortunate incidents, life-saving services have also been started at that place. They have managed to save many lives due to this service.
